Indie Artist Spotlight: Young Truph

Q. How did you get your start in music?

A. Music has always been a strong passion of mine ever since I was a baby. I’m talking 2 years old in the car pointing at the radio young. lol So I started to pursue it once I got old enough and realized I was blessed with the talent of being a musical artist.

Q. What message are you sending through your music?

A. My message is all about being original. Being authentic and versatile in my music. Providing different vibes, and messages. Even music you can party to and have fun with. It’s all about supplying a variety.

Q. When do you feel most creative?

A. I feel most creative when I’m in the studio. I have the pleasure of owning one now so it helps the element of creativity. I don’t have to write and book a session. Instead I can do it right on the spot and it’s a much more creative process.

Q. Who are your biggest musical influences?

A. I have too many to name honestly. lol Because great music influences me no matter who the artist. But I will say my favorite genres of music are hip/hop- rap and r&b and soul.

Q. What do you think people enjoy the most about your music?

A. I feel it’s my versatility honestly. I have such a wide range of artistry when it comes to music. So I feel it can appeal to the masses on a high level. My current album “Nothing But The Truph” showcases that perfectly. With albums like “Set You Free” and “Truph Be Told” that I plan on dropping in 2022 you’ll hear all 3 projects offer different vibes and styles of content.

Q. Why is being an artist important to you?

A. Being an artist is important to me because it’s what I love to do. It’s my true passion and inspiration. It’s avenue I can use to express myself and get things off my chest. My place of peace. The people also demand it and hate when I take long to drop new music. Lol
